Grass Fed Angus Beef Ribs

Grass Fed Beef for Your Grill!

For the second weekend in a row, we were able to offer fresh Angus beef at Josh’s farmer’s market. It is amazing how we had nearly sold out of beef and two cows later we had fresh beef on consecutive weekends. Don’t get spoiled, because fresh beef only comes around after a trip to the butcher’s market. Our last two cows produced a large amount of steaks, roasts, ribs and ground beef, so our inventory is good for a few weeks.

We have revamped our Family Packs of beef. Visit our order page: http://www.perryfarmsgrassfedbeef.com/order.php to view the 60 lb and 30 lb family packs we have available. Family packs can be ordered and picked up at Josh’s Farmer’s Market on Saturday, picked up here at Perry Farms or I can locally deliver the larger orders.

Thanks again for your support and friendship, it is greatly appreciated.

Grass Fed Beef Roasts

Oven Roasts

A roast is a cut of beef, thicker than two inches, that is suitable for cooking by dry heat on a rack in a shallow open pan in the oven or in a covered grill (indirect heat).

Premium oven roasts, including rib, ribeye, top loin and tenderloin are typically more costly, but ideal for holiday entertaining and other special occasions. Plan to order the type and size of roast you’d like ahead of time to ensure you get your first choice.

For everyday family meals, casual gatherings, and for the health-conscious, the round and bottom sirloin cuts are leaner and economical. Moderately priced roasts include tri-tip, round tip, rump, bottom round and eye round.

Consider a boneless roast for large parties or buffets as it will streamline carving and serving.

What a Fence

All Natural Grass Fed Angus Beef

All Natural Grass Fed Angus Beef

Whew, what a fence! We finished the fencing project on Perry Farms last week and it was worth every drop of sweat and every single nickel. A good fence takes time, money, energy and determination to do a good job from start to finish; all that and more went into fencing our pasture. Thanks to our friends and family for all their help.

Foxes have become a recent issue on our farm; we have lost a good amount of chickens due to these predators. The new fence will not keep the foxes out, but it will keep our big dog in, along with our new chickens. Our dog does not like foxes; she does like our chickens though. We really do like the fresh eggs and the taste of Free Range Chicken, so it won’t be long before the fox issue is over and our chicken population will be back where we like it.

Lots of produce has been planted this year, more than any we have planted in the past, we anticipate enough produce to last all summer and most of next winter. Fresh produce is unbeatable, if you can’t grow your own, visit a local farmers market and buy fresh locally grown produce from your neighbors, you might even see us out there with our grass fed beef.

Perry Farms will be at Josh’s Produce Market on Williamson Rd in Mooresville, starting Saturday, April 24th. Stop by and say Hi!
