Recently I purchased a donkey for our farm. My thoughts were that he would help protect the other livestock from predators and he looks really cool!

We have or had; dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, cattle, sheep, lamas, and goats, just to name a few, on our farm so I figured a donkey couldn’t be too much trouble. I quickly learned why you want a Jenny (female) over a Jack (male) donkey; the disposition of the Jack is that of an angry wasp, not of donkey in the movie Shrek.

Lesson Learned & needless to say, Mr. Donkey & I parted ways quickly, as I relocated him to another owner.

Stop by Perry Farms to see the Cows, Sheep, Pigs and Lamas, but NO DONKEYS!
