Each Spring & Summer brings life to Perry Farm, along with a large amount of work. Early summer brings what I refer
to as Hay Day, where I spend the better part of a week, cutting, sweeping, baling and storing hay for our cattle. It’s a lot of hard work and we do it twice a year, but the benefits are phenomenal.

Growing and processing our cattle’s winter feed, allows me to control what they eat and what you eat when you buy our beef. It also helps keep cost down so our prices stay competitive in this market.

So if I seem a little tired this weekend at Josh’s Farmers Market, you’ll know it was Hay Day for a whole week!
